Jean-Julien is a French filmmaker who explores
animation combined with live-action. Born in China,
his short films are embracing both Chinese and
French culture. They evoke existentialism, sensuality
and sometimes absurd humour. He received 5
awards, including Rotterdam Film Festival, for his
short films in 2007 and 2008.
He directed commercial films for Chanel, Lenovo,
Millet, the Spanish Tourism Board, and an interactive
film for the Museum of History of Wuxi, China. He lives
now in Seoul, and is a university part-time lecturer..
